Engineering Surveyor / Survey Technician

J Surveyors Pty Ltd is a Brisbane-based mid-tier surveying firm with a strong and growing reputation in the building and construction industry. Registered with the Queensland Board of Surveyors and endorsed to undertake cadastral work, we deliver end-to-end project solutions for our clients.

Due to strong recent growth, J Surveyors is looking to welcome another Surveying professional to the team. We are currently hiring Surveyors for both Brisbane and Gold Coast locations.

As a Surveyor with us, you will work across a broad range of construction, cadastral, mapping, and scanning projects, with responsibilities that include:

· Site establishment works

· Installation and commissioning of survey control

· Monitoring buildings and structures

· Precise set-out of building elements across a range of environments, from ground to roof, including earthworks, formwork, steel, and concrete

· Work involving 3D laser scanning, cadastral surveys, mapping, and UAV operations

· Preparation of set-out sketches and related documentation, with the opportunity to complete your own office work during normal working hours

J Surveyors offers a genuine 45-hour work week. Our remuneration package includes:

• $125,000 base salary, overtime paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate, superannuation, a vehicle, and flexible working arrangements, including the ability to start and finish directly from site

· $6,136 gross pay per fortnight, plus superannuation

· $4458.01 take-home pay per fortnight after tax, assuming no HECS debt or child support obligations

· Annual pay review

· Any additional overtime you choose to work will be paid at overtime rates

The successful candidate will bring:

· The professional qualities expected in this field

· A strong willingness to contribute to the business

· Experience working in a fast-paced construction environment

· Experience with Trimble robotic equipment and Siteworks or Access software is advantageous; training can be provided

· Experience with Topcon Office or Trimble Business Center is advantageous
