Chef de Partie

Brighton Wine Bar is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Scarborough

Brighton Wine Bar is focused on high-quality food, premium Australian wine and warm, professional hospitality. We are looking for a chef who takes pride in their work, works well within a team and can consistently deliver dishes to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
• Managing your designated section during service
• Completing daily food preparation and mise en place
• Assisting with ordering, stock rotation and inventory control
• Monitoring food quality, portion control and presentation
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation
• Following food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
• Minimising food waste and assisting with food cost control
• Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team
• Assisting with the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff
• Contributing to menu preparation and seasonal menu development

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience
• Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation
• Availability to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
