Counter Sales/Storeperson

About the role

This full-time Counter Sales/Storeperson position at Queensland Engineering Supplies in Hillcrest, offers an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing industrial supplies company. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the front counter, receiving in stock orders and pulling out and invoicing customer orders.

Please note this is Tuesday through to Saturday morning (4hrs).

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, processing, and storing incoming inventory.

• Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse and showroom.

• Assisting customers at the front counter by answering queries, providing product, and processing sales transactions.

• Collaborating with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory management and customer service.

• Some deliveries and pick-ups. Car licence required.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics, or retail environment. Also, mechanical/trade experience using fasteners would be highly regarded but not essential.

• Minimum of 1+ years experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail environment is required.

• Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a positive, helpful, and professional experience for customers.

• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.

• A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a willingness to pitch in where needed.

• A valid forklift licence would be highly regarded but not essential.

• Willingness to learn and the ability to apply this new information in the day to day.

• Australian citizenship is required for this position.
