NPD (New Product Development) Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NPD Coordinator to support our Research & Development team in bringing innovative products from concept to market.

Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating product development projects, conducting laboratory trials, managing samples, maintaining project documentation, and liaising with suppliers, laboratories and manufacturers.

As the NPD Coordinator, you will provide both technical and administrative support across a range of product development initiatives. This role requires someone who enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously, has a strong eye for detail, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to support routine laboratory and project coordination activities.

Accountabilities:

• Coordinate new product development projects, timelines and deliverables.

• Support day-to-day NPD and R&D activities.

• Conduct routine laboratory trials and testing activities.

• Prepare, label, store and manage product samples.

• Record trial outcomes and maintain accurate technical documentation.

• Update project trackers and follow up outstanding actions.

• Coordinate laboratory testing, sample submissions and project requirements.

• Gather and maintain supplier specifications, certificates and technical documentation.

• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, laboratories and internal stakeholders.

• Provide general technical and administrative support to the R&D Manager.

What we are looking for!

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in NPD, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, laboratory work or a related field is desirable.

• Knowledge of or exposure to FSANZ, GB Standards and TGA requirements will be highly regarded.

• Manufacturing industry experience is advantageous.

• Strong scientific literacy and analytical thinking skills.

• Ability to interpret technical information and make evidence-based decisions.

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping capabilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
