Kick-start your rail career at Metro Trains Melbourne where we keep Melbourne moving. In our paid Trainee Station Assistant Program, you'll gain industry skills working alongside experienced professionals to build a long-term career. You'll complete a nationally recognised qualification while gaining hands-on experience across Melbourne's rail network.
As the face of our stations, you'll play a critical role in creating a safe, welcoming and reliable experience for our customers. No two days are the same. From assisting passengers with travel information and making service announcements, to supporting platform operations and managing customer flow during busy periods, you'll be at the heart of Melbourne's rail network.
What we're looking for
We're looking for people who are caring, dependable, enjoy helping others, think on their feet and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Important things to know
Our stations operate 24/7, so flexibility is key. This part-time role offers a guaranteed 50 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster that includes early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays. You'll receive paid training and be supported throughout your traineeship journey.
