Operator Assistant

About the Role

You will mainly be responsible for learning basic oil well operations in our Cementing division, including but not limited to:

·        Pipe capacities and volume/height math

·        Absolute volumes including total water requirements for job

·        Hydrostatic and differential pressure

·        Bulk cement blending

·        Calculations to include liquid additives and weighted spacers

·        Pressure to reverse and/or determining burst and collapse

This is an entry-level position that reports to the Field Service Manager and will be offered on an even time 3/3 FIFO roster flying from Perth, WA.

Key Responsibilities

·        Develop skills to operate and maintain cementing equipment

·        Understand basic operational activities and assist in equipment pre-job tests

·        Learn basic Oil well operations using cement pumping and blending equipment

·        Assist in rig-up and rig-down activities at the well site

Role Requirements

·        Current HC Unrestricted licence

·        Strong focus on safety and operational awareness

·        Able to work a physically active hands-on role

·        Dedicated team player with aptitude for learning

·        Good communication skills
