Cost Manager

A leading international project and cost management consultancy is seeking a Cost Manager to join its Sydney team.

Working across a diverse portfolio of construction and property projects, the business partners with major clients to deliver independent commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle. Role Overview

This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager looking to strengthen their commercial capability while working across both pre-contract and post-contract cost management services.

You'll work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, providing accurate cost advice from early feasibility through to final account. The role offers broad exposure across cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial management, making it ideal for someone looking to continue developing within a client-facing consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and financial reports across all project stages
• Support pre-contract cost planning, procurement and tendering activities
• Review tender submissions and prepare tender analysis reports
• Manage valuations, variations and change order assessments
• Assist with contract administration, final accounts and commercial claims
• Monitor project costs and provide accurate financial reporting to clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
• Support the successful commercial delivery of multiple construction projects

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Experience within a Quantity Surveying or Cost Management consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of both pre-contract and post-contract cost management
• Experience preparing estimates, cost plans and financial reports
• Knowledge of contracts, variations, claims and final accounts
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple priorities
