About the role
Band 4 - base salary from $110,558 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Working to deliver new services, resolve network issues and provide excellent customer service; we are seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to join our team to contribute to effectively meeting or exceeding our Telecommunications business and customer requirements at minimal cost.
This role is part of a small, but highly skilled, team responsible for the operating a complex, multi-technology telecommunications network and associated equipment and infrastructure. The network provides the critical services required for the Tasmanian electricity networks and commercial services for a range of other customers through our subsidiary – 42-24.
The role will require participation in an on-call roster once the successful applicant has developed the necessary competence to be responsible for responding to issues outside of business hours.
The successful candidate will combine their ability to apply accurate technical judgement and analysis of technical problems.
You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and strong communication skills (both orally and written) and the proven ability to develop collaborative working environments with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service.
