About the Role

As Cheil enters an exciting new phase of growth, we are looking for a passionate Copywriter.

The Copywriter is a conceptual thinker and a precise writer — someone who understands that the best copy doesn't just communicate, it persuades, provokes and sticks. Working closely with art directors, designers and account teams, the Copywriter brings ideas to life across every channel the brief demands, from a single campaign thought to the words on a product label. At this agency, copy doesn't live in isolation — it needs to work just as hard in a retail environment or a digital rollout as it does in a 30-second TVC.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept and write across a full range of briefs — brand campaigns, product launches, retail, social, digital, eDM, OOH and content
• Develop big ideas in partnership with art directors and bring them through to finished, channel-ready copy
• Write strategically — understanding the brief, the brand, the audience and the competitive context before a word goes down
• Adapt and scale copy across multiple formats and executions as part of campaign rollout, maintaining voice and consistency throughout
• Present and articulate creative thinking clearly to internal teams and clients, defending the work with confidence and humility
• Collaborate with account management to understand client business objectives and translate them into compelling creative solutions
• Contribute actively to brainstorms, new business pitches and proactive creative opportunities
• Stay across cultural, digital and category trends — bringing relevant references and ideas to the team
• Partner with designers and art directors to ensure copy and visual work as a unified whole, not in parallel
   

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification in copywriting, communications, journalism or related field
• 3+ years experience in a creative, integrated or content agency environment
• A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual range, tonal versatility and the ability to write across multiple channels and audiences
• Strong understanding of brand voice, digital platforms and how copy functions differently across formats
• Experience presenting and selling creative work to clients
• Comfortable working across both long-form and short-form copy — from manifesto to subject line
