About the role
Working within our Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing plant continues to operate safely, efficiently and reliably. No two days are quite the same, giving you the opportunity to apply your trade across a wide range of equipment and systems.
Key responsibilities
Planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance
Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting
Equipment repairs, overhauls and installations
Pump, gearbox, conveyor and rotating equipment maintenance
Precision alignment and mechanical fitting
Supporting shutdowns and capital projects
Working closely with Operations and Engineering teams to minimise downtime
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Promoting safe work practices and continuous improvement across site
About you
Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or similar trade qualification
Previous experience maintaining industrial fixed plant
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Experience with pumps, conveyors, rotating equipment and mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong commitment to safety
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
Experience within chemical manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, power generation or heavy industry will be highly regarded but isn't essential
