Business Manager

About the role

We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Manager to join the Subaru team and support our dealer network across Victoria and Tasmania.

This is a hands-on field-based role where you'll partner with Dealer Principals, Sales Managers, Service Managers and dealership leadership teams to drive sales performance, aftersales growth and customer experience outcomes.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll use performance data, market insights and strong stakeholder relationships to identify opportunities, improve results and implement business strategies that support both dealer and brand success.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with automotive dealership experience who enjoys influencing stakeholders, building partnerships and helping businesses achieve stronger commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales, aftersales, parts and accessory performance across the dealer network
• Develop and execute dealer performance and business improvement plans
• Build strong relationships with Dealer Principals and dealership leadership teams
• Analyse sales, customer and operational performance data
• Conduct regular dealer visits and performance reviews
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, retention and customer outcomes
• Support the rollout of sales, marketing and customer experience initiatives
• Monitor dealer performance against brand standards and key business metrics
• Provide market insights and recommendations to support network growth
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, customer experience and aftersales teams

About you

You are a commercially driven automotive professional with a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes. You enjoy working directly with dealership leaders, analysing performance data and developing strategies that deliver measurable results.

You are confident, resilient and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while balancing commercial objectives and customer outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

• Automotive dealership or automotive industry experience
• Experience working with senior dealership stakeholders
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence and drive performance outcomes
• Sales, aftersales or business development experience
• Strong commercial and analytical capability
• Ability to interpret data and identify business opportunities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High levels of motivation, resilience and accountability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and performance reporting
