Edstein is seeking a motivated and experienced Fitter Machinist to join our growing team in Taree. This is a hands-on role within a modern manufacturing facility, working with advanced European machinery and helping keep our production operations running at peak performance.

What You’ll Be Doing
As our Fitter Machinist, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
Your duties will include:
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues efficiently
Performing fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimise production downtime
Conducting routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on industrial machinery
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and monitoring equipment performance
Assisting in the development and execution of preventative maintenance programs
Ensuring plant, equipment and systems are maintained to required standards
Collaborating with production staff to optimise equipment functionality
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
CNC operation and maintenance (desirable)
Availability to work outside standard operating hours when required for preventative maintenance

We’re looking for someone who brings:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices
A proactive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently
Trade qualification as a Fitter & Machinist (essential)
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
