About Chemtrans Chemtrans is a division of K&S Freighters and is a well-respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia. The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised allocator to co-ordinate day-to-day transport operations within our dangerous goods division. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving and communication skills to ensure business needs are delivered and the customer needs are always met to a high standard. Operating as the go-to person for fatigue management, delivery processes, customer service and monitoring of the fleet, this role offers variety and strong career development in dangerous goods setting with on-the-job training and support provided. You will: Complete and monitor all documentation in a timely, accurate manner and in accordance with legal requirements and customer expectations Generate all paperwork required for daily deliveries including con notes and delivery dockets Monitor rosters and scheduling to meet compliance with driver fatigue laws Monitor onsite equipment maintenance and service requirements Allocate your resources and operate in the safest, efficient and most cost-effective manner Report any delays to customers due to breakdowns, weather/traffic conditions, emergencies or irregularities to ensure requirements are met Data entry of driver’s hours to support BFM accreditation PPE issuing, monitoring and auditing Documentation and investigation of incidents as per K&S standards Complying with all transport regulations and laws Assisting with vehicle servicing and inspections, documenting all actions and recording on file This role will also involve joining a team roster and working some weekends, so flexibility to be available on these occasions is required. What you’ll bring: You'll have transport allocation experience, but specific training offered for the right person with the specifics required for this role. You will be a strong, professional communicator when under pressure, and able to remain positive to solve issues and direct drivers when needed.
