Qualified Electrician – Residential Maintenance & Installations

T42 Electrical & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Qualified Electrician to join our growing team.

This role would suit a capable electrician who enjoys domestic electrical work and takes genuine pride in completing safe, neat and high-quality installations, maintenance and repairs.

The position is focused on technical ability, workmanship, reliability and working well with customers and the wider team.

Our office is currently located in Worongary and will be relocating to Burleigh in the near future.

• $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience

You will work across the Gold Coast, completing a variety of residential electrical maintenance, repairs, upgrades and installations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Domestic electrical maintenance and repairs

• Electrical fault-finding and diagnosis

• Switchboard upgrades and safety-related work

• Installation and replacement of lighting, power points, fans and electrical equipment

• Smoke alarm installation and compliance work

• Electrical testing and safety checks

• Renovation and upgrade work

• Clearly explaining electrical issues and recommended solutions to customers

• Completing accurate job notes, photographs and required documentation

• Keeping your company van clean, organised and appropriately stocked

• Treating customers’ homes with care

• Leaving work areas clean and tidy

• Supporting apprentices and other team members when required

• Representing T42 professionally on every job

You will have the support of an experienced office team to assist with scheduling, customer communication and job coordination.

Our normal working hours are approximately 7:30am–3:30pm, although hours may vary depending on scheduled work. Some earlier starts will be required for team meetings and training.

Overtime is available, and a willingness to assist with overtime when reasonably required is preferred.

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Be a fully qualified electrician

• Hold a current Queensland electrical licence

• Hold a current driver’s licence

• Have solid domestic electrical experience

• Be confident completing electrical installations, maintenance and repairs

• Have strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Be comfortable working independently

• Take pride in completing neat, safe and high-quality work

• Be reliable, organised and accountable

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers

• Complete job notes, photographs and paperwork accurately

• Be willing to support apprentices and work as part of a team

• Be open to feedback and ongoing training

• Be committed to electrical safety and professional standards

Experience with ServiceM8, domestic air conditioning, on-site quoting or taking customer payments would be helpful but is not essential. Training in T42’s systems and processes will be provided.
