Rainforestation Nature Park is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Activities Manager to lead our iconic Pamagirri Cultural Experience and Army Duck Tours. About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Activities Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination and operational performance of both the Pamagirri and Army Duck departments. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, team development, guest service excellence, safety compliance, rostering, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop team members across multiple departments
Manage daily operations to ensure tours and experiences run safely and efficiently
Oversee staffing, rostering and workforce planning
Drive exceptional guest experiences and service standards
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
Coordinate training, onboarding and professional development programs
Manage vehicle and equipment readiness in collaboration with maintenance teams
Support revenue growth through product knowledge and upselling opportunities
Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain strong communication and collaboration across departments
About You
You are an approachable and confident leader who enjoys building strong teams and creating positive guest experiences. You can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and have a strong focus on safety, customer service and operational excellence.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
A demonstrated understanding of, respect for, and commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures is essential
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience in rostering, workforce management and team training
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices
Current Queensland Driver Authorisation
Current and valid Australian Driver Licence
Current Blue Card
Ability to maintain required licences and certifications throughout employment
