The exciting opportunity

• Permanent part-time role working 8:30am – 5pm on Saturday & Sunday
• Based at our 95-bed Fairfield aged care home
• Instruct, teach and guide Kitchen Hands
• Prepare and cook food in line with cyclic menus, standard recipes, food texture modification and portion sizes
• Ensure that resident's individual menu choices are met, including any special dietary requirements
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment through cleaning and safe food storage

The recipe for success

• Successful track record as a Cook within residential aged care
• Experience preparing textured modified foods including minced and moist
• Organised and able to lead a team of Kitchen Hands in a fast-paced kitchen
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain)
• Working rights in Australia (sponsorship is not offered)
