Graduate - Restructuring & Recovery

About the role:

Build a strong foundation in restructuring, insolvency and advisory work by supporting a diverse range of corporate and personal engagements. Working with experienced professionals, you will develop practical commercial, financial and investigative skills while helping clients and stakeholders navigate complex and often time-critical situations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support a varied portfolio of corporate and personal insolvency, restructuring and advisory engagements under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Conduct investigations by reviewing books and records, analysing financial information, tracing transactions and identifying key issues.
• Assist with trading, asset realisation and operational work, including liaising with employees, creditors, clients and other stakeholders.
• Prepare clear correspondence, working papers and reports for clients, creditors, courts, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Assist with statutory and regulatory compliance, including BAS and tax lodgements, ASIC notices, ASIC Administration Returns.
• Maintain accurate engagement records and information in relevant systems, applying sound judgement, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with colleagues and specialists across RSM, contributing ideas and building commercial and technical capability through hands-on experience.

About you:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• A completed or near-completed Business or Commerce degree, preferably with an Accounting major
• A completed or near-completed Law degree with an interest in restructuring and insolvency

Desirable

• An interest in corporations law, business operations or restructuring

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Curiosity, initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to learn
• Confidence working with numbers, data and digital tools
• Professional judgement, integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
