Boilermaker - Pipefitter

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Boilermakers / Pipefitters to join our fabrication team. This is a workshop-based role suited to tradespeople with a strong background in piping, plate, structural and general fabrication who take pride in producing accurate, quality work.

Our workshop delivers a diverse range of fabrication across structural, mechanical, and piping projects, providing plenty of variety rather than repetitive production work. We are looking for capable tradespeople who can work from drawings, set out, and fabricate accurately, and take ownership of the quality of their work.

This position is best suited to a fabrication-focused Boilermaker / Pipefitter with experience producing piping, plate, structural or mechanical fabrication to engineering drawings and project specifications and will be based at our Bibra Lake facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipe fitting and pipe spool fabrication.
• Plate fabrication, including chutes, hoppers, and other fabricated components.
• Structural and general steel fabrication.
• Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, shop detail drawings and specifications.
• Set out, fabricate, assemble and fit components accurately to drawing requirements.
• Perform cutting, grinding, fitting and associated fabrication activities.
• Carry out dimensional checks to ensure completed work meets project drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
• Work with carbon steel and stainless-steel materials.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Comply with company Quality and Safety systems, procedures, and project requirements.

About You

• Australian recognised trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Pipefitter or equivalent.
• Demonstrated post-trade experience in an engineering or fabrication workshop environment.
• Pipe fitting and/or pipe spool fabrication experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in plate, structural or mechanical fabrication.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Good fabrication, measuring, set out and dimensional checking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on producing quality work.
• Effective communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
