About the role
We are seeking a People Support Coordinator to join the team at Arabanoo Before and After School Care. This is a part-time position based in Balgowlah Heights, NSW 2093. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a positive, educational workplace environment, ensuring our team has the resources, guidance and assistance they need to deliver exceptional care to the children and families we serve. This position is integral to continue to build on a fun workplace culture and ensuring our staff feel supported and valued.
Key responsibilities
Provide administrative and operational support, including managing recruitment processes, onboarding documentation and employee records
Assist with the organisation and coordination of staff training, inductions and professional development programmes
Handle employee queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, directing matters to appropriate team members when necessary
Support the maintenance of HR systems, databases and filing, ensuring information is accurate and confidential
Contribute to the development and distribution of HR policies, procedures and communications to staff
Assist with scheduling, leave management and timesheet coordination
Support the planning and coordination of staff engagement activities and workplace wellbeing initiatives
Help prepare HR documentation, reports and presentations as required
Maintain awareness of employment legislation and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
What we're looking for
A genuine passion for supporting people and fostering a positive fun workplace environment
Stand out people skills in order to manage and motivate a team of 30 people and foster strong relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels
A discretionary and confidential approach to handling sensitive employee information
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, particularly when handling employee concerns
Reliability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred
Prior experience managing teams and people support roles
