Due to the recent award of a major long-term contract, we are expanding our workforce and seeking talented individuals to join our team. We are currently seeking an Open Crane Operator to join our growing team at Sino Iron Ore, Cape Preston WA.

Position: 2:1 Roster (Shift work)
Location: Sino Iron Ore, Cape Preston (FIFO from Perth)
Employment Type: Full-time 

We’re looking for an experienced Crane Operator to join our team, supporting daily SMP maintenance works. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to operate large-scale equipment, contribute to high-performing projects, and be part of a team where safety, quality, and teamwork are valued. The role ensures lifting operations are conducted in accordance with approved lift plans, site requirements, and legislative obligations, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Proven knowledge and experience working with structural steel, pipework, and mechanical components

• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safe work practices

• Demonstrated experience operating crawler cranes over 200T (essential)

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Crane Operator within the mining or heavy industry sector

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (up to 50°C)

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a broader team

 Mandatory Requirements:

• CO Crane Ticket

• Riggers Ticket

• Valid Elevated Work Platform / HRWL - WP

• Valid Working Safely at Heights / Confined Spaces Ticket

• White Card 

• Australian HR Drivers Licence

• Applicants holding additional High Risk Work Licence classifications, will be highly regarded

Applicants will be required to:

• Undertake and pass a Pre-Employment Medical before commencement

• Be clean shaven & work wearing a P2 Respiratory Mask
