Program Advisor Lead

Working closely with the program manager, project managers and business leads, the Lead Program Advisor supports the effective operation of the program by coordinating program activities, maintaining governance artefacts, preparing executive reporting and facilitating the delivery of governance and operational support services.

Day to day:

• Lead coordination or program planning and operational support activities across multiple initiatives
• Coordinate program activities to support effective delivery across the portfolio
• Support the Program Manager in implementing governance processes and program management practices
• Lead, mentor and coordinate the Program Advisor team, ensuring consistent governance support, reporting, planning and operational coordination across the program
• Maintain program management templates, standards and supporting documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve program coordination, reporting and operational effectiveness
• Coordinate integrated program schedules, milestones, and key dependencies across all program initiatives
• Maintain consolidated delivery plans and governance calendars

Highly desirable skills:

• Experience supporting cyber security, ICT or digital transformation programs
• Experience working across Queensland Government or other highly regulated environments
• Experience supporting executive governance forums and preparing material for senior executives
• Experience coordinating Program Boards, Project Reference Groups or executive governance forums
• Experience developing governance templates, reporting frameworks and operational processes
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Project Online, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms

Your background:

• Demonstrated experience supporting governance and coordination activities across large, complex programs and portfolios
• Experience preparing executive reporting, governance papers and program dashboards
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives within a structured governance environment
• Experience supporting program financial management
• Strong planning, organisational and coordination skills
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working across business and technical stakeholder groups
