Position: Cook at Indoz Curry House

Location: Woree, Cairns, QLD, Australia

Contract Details: Full-time

Indoz Curry House is a newly opened Indian restaurant located in Woree, Cairns, QLD, Australia. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our menu and recipes

- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely and consistent manner

- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety

- Monitor and order supplies as needed

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dishes and improve existing ones

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

- Keep track of inventory and assist with stock control

- Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

- Minimum of 12 months of work experience as a Cook in a similar role

- Certificate 3 or above in cookery

- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

We offer a competitive salary of $76,000 to $82,000 per year, depending on experience, plus superannuation. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for career growth and development within our expanding restaurant.
