BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

About the role

Briz Floors is looking for an experienced commercial flooring sales professional who knows the market, knows the people and knows how to win work.

We are looking for someone with an established career in commercial flooring, strong relationships across the SEQ construction market and a proven history of personally generating and converting significant commercial opportunities.

Your primary focus will be growing Briz Floors' forward pipeline and profitable revenue.

Your role will:

• Develop new builder and head-contractor relationships;

• Use your existing network to create opportunities;

• Identify projects early;

• Re-engage valuable existing and dormant relationships;

• Work closely with our estimating team on priority tenders;

• Actively follow up quotations and tenders;

• Negotiate directly with clients;

• Help shape pricing, scope and tender strategy;

• Convert the right opportunities into profitable awarded work.

You need to understand the estimating process, be comfortable working from drawings and specifications, and have the capability to assist with take-offs, pricing and tender preparation when required.

About you

• Strong commercial flooring industry experience

• Established relationships with builders, head contractors and commercial construction decision-makers in SEQ

• Track record of generating new business, not simply servicing existing accounts

• Solid commercial flooring estimating knowledge

• Ability to understand drawings, specifications, take-offs and project pricing

• Experience with commercial tenders and project sales

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial flooring products and installation

• Confidence negotiating scope, price and program

• Strong commercial and margin awareness

• Drive to actively hunt, follow up and close
