About the role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Primary & Secondary Teachers to join our team at our Double Bay, NSW location. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodiverse learners. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality education in a specialised environment designed to meet the diverse learning needs of students with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodiverse profiles. This role is perfect for educators who are committed to inclusive education and have a passion for supporting students with varying learning styles and requirements.
Key responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual learning needs, strengths and interests of neurodiverse students
Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions tailored to support diverse learning profiles and neurodevelopmental differences
Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that celebrates neurodiversity and promotes student wellbeing
Assess student progress through ongoing observation, formal and informal assessments, and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
Collaborate with specialist staff, including educational psychologists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists, to support holistic student development
Communicate regularly and meaningfully with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and involving them in educational planning
Develop and maintain detailed records of student progress, learning goals and individualised education plans
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in neurodiverse education
Contribute to a collaborative school culture that values inclusion, respect and continuous improvement
Model positive behaviour management strategies that support emotional regulation and social development
What we're looking for
Full teaching qualification and current registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) or equivalent
Teaching experience at primary and/or secondary level, with demonstrated success in creating inclusive learning environments
Preferred: specialist knowledge or training in neurodiverse education, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia or other neurodevelopmental conditions
Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
Experience with evidence-based interventions and strategies for supporting students with learning differences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
Demonstrated patience, empathy and genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable and diverse learners
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple learning profiles and maintain accurate records
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Passion for inclusion and a growth mindset approach to education
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one
