About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to lead our kitchen operations within a residential aged care facility. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while managing kitchen staff, operations, and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a qualified chef who enjoys both cooking and leading a team in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including meal preparation and service
• Develop and implement nutritious, seasonal, and resident-focused menus
• Ensure meals meet dietary, allergy, and texture-modified requirements
• Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff including cooks and kitchen hands
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards at all times
• Manage stock control, ordering, budgeting, and supplier relationships
• Ensure efficient kitchen workflow and high-quality meal presentation
• Engage with residents and care staff to support satisfaction and feedback
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment

What You Will Bring

• Qualified Chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role (aged care preferred)
• Food Safety Certificate
• Strong understanding of dietary requirements in aged care settings
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Passion for delivering high-quality meals that enhance resident wellbeing
• A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this
