Senior Heavy Lift Engineer

NES Fircroft are partnering with a leading Western Australian provider of crane hire, heavy lifting and engineered transport solutions to recruit a Senior Heavy Lift Engineer.
Reporting directly to the GM, you will have the opportunity to influence strategic direction, mentor others and help shape the future of the engineering function.

Job Role

• Lead the preparation and review of lift plans, lift studies, transport studies and engineered heavy lift solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across complex crane, lifting and transport projects from concept through execution.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams and operational personnel to deliver safe and efficient project outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections, route surveys and technical reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review and approve third-party lift studies, transport studies and supporting engineering documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, engineering innovation and the development of specialist tools and processes.
• Support tenders, proposals and business development activities through technical expertise and client engagement.
• Ensure all engineering activities are conducted in line with relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and HSEQ requirements.

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' engineering experience, ideally within cranes, heavy lifting, transport, construction or related sectors.  
• Strong experience developing lift plans, engineering calculations and practical heavy lift solutions.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and engineering design software.  
• A natural leader who enjoys mentoring others and driving engineering excellence.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
