Exam Officer, Industry Advisory

Support the administration and delivery of practitioner examinations and assessments across the Building and Plumbing Commission, ensuring candidates receive professional, accurate and timely services while maintaining examination integrity and operational excellence.

About the Role: 

We are seeking multiple Exam Officer, Industry Advisory positions on a fixed-term basis until 30 March 2028.  

The Exam Officer, Industry Advisory is responsible for providing administrative support for the delivery of practitioner examinations and assessments across both the building and plumbing streams. The role plays an important part in ensuring examinations are delivered efficiently, professionally and in accordance with established procedures. 

This includes responsibility for: 

• Candidate bookings and examination scheduling 
• Examination notices and candidate communications 
• Examination payment processing 
• Examination records and database administration 
• Support for online and in-person examination delivery 

Working closely with Assessment Coordinators, Technical Advisors, Examiners and external stakeholders, the role contributes to the successful delivery of practitioner examinations while supporting the BPC's registration and licensing functions. 

 What we are looking for: 

• Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. 
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and information. 
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. 
• Experience working within established procedures and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information. 
• Strong written communication skills, including the preparation of correspondence and administrative documentation. 
• Experience using business systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications. 

Desirable Experience 

• Experience in examination administration, customer service, regulatory administration or education support environments. 
• Experience working in a government, regulatory or service delivery environment would be advantageous.
