Mungalli Creek Dairy is a family-owned paddock to shelf producer of award-winning Biodynamic (organic) and premium dairy products.

As a Biodynamic farm business, we are focused on producing the best dairy products for our community whilst looking after the land for future generations.  

We produce a delicious range of organic and lactose-free yoghurts to complement our well know range of milks, yoghurts, cheese and ice-cream.

Our on farm manufacturing site is located at Mungalli on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. 

About the role

As the Production Worker in Yoghurt and Cheese you will learn to make our award winning Biodynamic soft cheeses - (Quark and Ricotta) and Greek Style yoghurts at our on farm manufacturing facility. Fetta and Mungallio cheeses are also made seasonally when milk volumes permit.

Hours are weekdays, 25-30 hours per week usually Tue, Wed, Thur. Additional shifts available Friday if desired. Opportunities to advance and grow with the business, flexibility and adaptability and a can-do attitude are key.

You must be physically fit (able to lift crates of 18kg and twist and bend with ease) and healthy with a positive can-do attitude; and a great team player that is able to maintain very high standards of food production and workplace hygiene. 

This is a great opportunity for a locally based person to grow their food manufacturing knowledge.

Role Responsibilities:

• Follow GMP & production procedures 

• Cleaning and sanitation / CIP of all equipment, work area, cheese cloths and benches following WHS and food handling requirements and in line with company Safe Food Program and SWP.

• Make our Quark, Ricotta and Greek Yoghurt weekly

• Learn to make Fetta and Mungallio seasonally when milk volumes allow.

• Assist with in-line sampling and testing throughout the make process.

• Completing all make sheets and documentation, PH checks thoroughly and accurately. 

• Monitoring of CCP's for any irregularities and notifying supervisor.

Skills and experience

Essential

• Physically fit, strong and a good work ethic

• Enjoy contributing to and working in a team environment

• High standard of workplace hygiene

• Accurately follow systems and procedures

• Able to do early starts 

• Flexible Can-do attitude

Desirable:

• Prior experience in a Dairy Manufacturing environment.

• Prior experience within a Food production

• Experience with food hygiene

Prior experience in cheese and yoghurt manufacture although not essential, would be well regarded. Training will be provided.
