The role
As an Engineering Surveyor, you will provide critical surveying support throughout the construction lifecycle—from initial control establishment and early works through to detailed set-out, conformance, as-constructed surveys and final project handover.
Supported by our Project and Operations Management team, you will manage the day-to-day activities onsite, providing spatial solutions to the client that can include:
Directing or conducting all forms of survey in order to meet client requests
Project Manage and proactively co-ordinate surveying requirements with clients
Establishing, verifying and maintaining project survey control networks
Detailed construction set-out for major road, rail, bridge and structures packages
Completing conformance, monitoring and as-constructed surveys
Preparing and managing survey data using 12d Model and 12d Field
Identifying design discrepancies and potential construction issues
Supporting machine-control modelling, quantities and construction planning where required
Coordinating survey priorities with project engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
Mentoring junior surveyors and survey assistants where appropriate
What are we looking for?
You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry, specifically working on civil and construction projects within Australia, with an Australian recognised degree in surveying or spatial science.
Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland, or the ability to become registered is preferred, but not essential.
Experience using 12D highly advantageous
Mature, experienced outlook on client management with the ability to prioritise your own workload
Experience with building and civil works projects highly regarded
