The role

As an Engineering Surveyor, you will provide critical surveying support throughout the construction lifecycle—from initial control establishment and early works through to detailed set-out, conformance, as-constructed surveys and final project handover.

Supported by our Project and Operations Management team, you will manage the day-to-day activities onsite, providing spatial solutions to the client that can include:

• Directing or conducting all forms of survey in order to meet client requests

• Project Manage and proactively co-ordinate surveying requirements with clients 

• Establishing, verifying and maintaining project survey control networks

• Detailed construction set-out for major road, rail, bridge and structures packages

• Completing conformance, monitoring and as-constructed surveys

• Preparing and managing survey data using 12d Model and 12d Field

• Identifying design discrepancies and potential construction issues

• Supporting machine-control modelling, quantities and construction planning where required

• Coordinating survey priorities with project engineers, supervisors and subcontractors

• Mentoring junior surveyors and survey assistants where appropriate

What are we looking for?

• You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry, specifically working on civil and construction projects within Australia, with an Australian recognised degree in surveying or spatial science. 

• Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland, or the ability to become registered is preferred, but not essential.

• Experience using 12D highly advantageous

• Mature, experienced outlook on client management with the ability to prioritise your own workload

• Experience with building and civil works projects highly regarded
