The Opportunity

Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is seeking motivated individuals to commence a Certificate III in Plumbing Apprenticeship with one of our respected host employers based in Bendigo.

This is an excellent opportunity to earn while you learn, gain a nationally recognised qualification and develop the skills needed for a successful career in the plumbing industry. Supported by experienced tradespeople and your dedicated Employment & Training Consultant, you'll receive the guidance and training needed to become a qualified plumber.

  Duties May Include

• Installing and repairing roof plumbing systems
• Working with roofing iron and sheet metal products
• Handling and installing roofing sheets
• Installing roof battens and roofing components
• Measuring, cutting and shaping materials to specification
• Using tools such as tech screw guns, tin snips and other trade equipment
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Creating the layout of plumbing systems and required materials
• Assembling and installing piping, fittings and plumbing components
• Testing plumbing installations and ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Working safely at heights and on roofing projects
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite

About You

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights
• Completed Year 10 or equivalent
• Interested in building a career in the plumbing and construction industry
• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
• Able to work as part of a team
• Driver's Licence desirable but not essential
• White Card advantageous but not essential
