Are you passionate about creating memorable dining experiences and delivering high-quality food? Novotel Surfers Paradise is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Demi Chef to join our dynamic Kitchen brigade.

What You'll Be Doing..

As a Demi Chef, you will play an important role in supporting our culinary operations by:

• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.
• Maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Supporting the Chef de Partie and broader kitchen team with daily operations.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards.
• Managing stock rotation and minimising food wastage.
• Contributing ideas to enhance menu offerings and guest experiences.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For...

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen environment.
• Relevant culinary qualifications.
• Previous experience in conference, events, banquets and a high-volume buffet breakfast operation highly desired.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• A passion for food, creativity, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
