About the role
This is a varied, hands-on role assisting with the construction and fit-out of custom shipping containers and modular buildings for the mining, industrial and commercial sectors. Working alongside tradespeople and production team members, you will support all aspects of container fit-out and assembly.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with container fit-out and assembly
Installing wall and ceiling panels, trims and flashings
Assisting with windows, doors, flooring and roofing
Installing shelving, workbenches, furniture and equipment
Assembling kitchenettes and other fixtures
Using hand and power tools
Measuring, drilling, cutting, fixing and general assembly
Preparing materials and components for installation
General workshop, cleaning and housekeeping duties
Assisting other areas of production when required
About you
Reliable, willing to learn and comfortable working with hands
Good practical and mechanical aptitude
Experience using basic hand and power tools
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good attention to detail
Ability to work well as part of a team
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
A commitment to working safely
