About the role
South West Hospital and Health Service has an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer to join our Primary and Community Care Team in Charleville.

Your opportunity
As the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer you will provide support and advice on the health pathways aimed at improving the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
By developing and maintaining networks with a range of stakeholders including local Elders, and staying up to date on current health issues, policy and programs, you will ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are connected to services in a respectful and appropriate manner appropriate to their health needs.
The very nature of what we do and who we are is the real opportunity. Providing health care support in the bush is full of challenges, however, it remains the most rewarding of human experiences.
