Restaurant Manager

Located in Sydney CBD, NSW 2000, Bar Conte – Clarence Street is an Italian restaurant and Negroni Bar offering contemporary Italian dining, including handmade pasta and Italian dishes, alongside cocktails and Italian wines. The restaurant is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee its day-to-day restaurant operations and join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
• Supervising, training and coordinating front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of service.
• Coordinating staff rosters, shift allocations and daily staffing requirements.
• Monitoring customer satisfaction and handling customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Managing stock levels and coordinating the ordering of food, beverages and other restaurant supplies.
• Working closely with kitchen, bar and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient coordination of restaurant service.
• Monitoring operational costs and assisting with budgeting and cost control.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service throughout the restaurant.
• Overseeing reservations, table service and customer flow during service periods.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and applicable liquor licensing requirements.
• Supporting the efficient operation of the restaurant and maintaining a high standard of guest experience.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality management role.
• Strong leadership, staff supervision and team management skills.
• Sound knowledge of restaurant and food and beverage operations.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good understanding of stock control and day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and applicable hospitality requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant environment and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional presentation and commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Salary: AUD $70,000 – $90,000 per annum
