Machine Operator, Ring & Section Roller

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Casual Factory Worker to join our team. This role features a variety of duties and cross-functional responsibilities, making it perfect for someone who enjoys a diverse hands-on workflow and has a solid foundational knowledge of metal fabrication. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Machine Operation: Setup, adjust, and operate lathe machines and specialized ring rolling equipment.

• Section Rolling: Form and bend structural steel components including angle flat bars, channels, and box sections to precise customer specifications.

• Material Preparation: Safely use hand and power tools to prepare raw materials, remove burrs, and clean workpieces.

• Quality & Precision: Check, measure, and inspect finished products against specific technical profiles to ensure compliance and zero deformities.

• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere strictly to factory health and safety protocols; perform minor routine machinery housekeeping to maintain a clean workspace.

Skills & Experience Required: 

• Prior hands-on experience as a Machine Operator or in a heavy metal fabrication/manufacturing workshop.

• Competence or baseline experience operating manual or mechanical lathe machines.

• Familiarity working with structural steel profiles (angles, channels, box sections).

• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read basic production notes or measurements.

• Reliable work ethic, physical stamina for factory environments, and a focus on maintaining workplace safety.
