An opportunity is available for a Management Accountant to work closely with a commercially and strategically focused CFO. Offering broad exposure across financial and management accounting, this role will allow you to develop a diverse skill set and build the experience required to lead a finance function in the future.

The Position
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the organisation’s financial reporting, budgeting and operational decision-making. This is a varied, hands-on position suited to a capable Management Accountant who enjoys taking ownership and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to process improvements across the finance function while driving improved reporting
• Preparing financial and management reports
• Completing month-end accounting, including accruals, journals and prepayments
• Performing general ledger, balance sheet, bank and credit card reconciliations
• Preparing BAS for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office
• Preparing and monitoring budgets across multiple cost centres
• Supporting business unit managers to understand their budgets and make informed operational decisions
• Analysing financial and operational data to identify trends and improve performance

Your Profile
You are a proactive, driven and self-motivated accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of your responsibilities. You will also demonstrate:

• Experience across financial and management accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build effective working relationships with operational stakeholders
• Confidence explaining financial information to non-finance managers
• A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute across the broader business
• Experience using Power BI, or a genuine interest in developing your capability with the platform
