Virbac Australia has a fantastic opportunity for a Regulatory Affairs Officer to join our Innovation & Business Development team based at our Milperra site.
Within the framework of Virbac's strategy, this function is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the company's regulatory information and systems. This role supports the ongoing regulatory compliance of our product portfolio through the management of critical data systems, databases, and minor submissions, ensuring the business is supported by a robust and efficient regulatory foundation. This role will also support RIMS for NZ along with some of the exempt product submissions.
What You'll Be Accountable For:RIMS Custodianship & System Support: Serve as the primary custodian for the Regulatory Information Management System (RIMS), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and currency. Manage user access, provide essential training to team members, and drive system improvements within the RIMS platform.
Digital File Transformation: Lead the digitisation of historical regulatory files, ensuring an accurate and compliant transition to electronic records.
Database Management & Milestone Tracking: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all regulatory applications, tracking key milestones and monitoring application timeframes via regulatory agency portals.
Dossier Preparation & Submissions: Independently prepare, compile, and submit minor applications, including class determinations and exempt product notifications.
Regulatory Agency Liaison & Compliance: Liaise with regulatory agencies on non-complex submissions and review product information and labelling to ensure compliance with local requirements.
Market Intelligence & Insights: Conduct a monthly analysis of competitor regulatory activities and prepare a monthly executive report summarising key activities and strategic insights. Communicate key findings to the marketing and RDL teams to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Workplace Safety & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with all Work Health, Safety, and Environment policies, taking reasonable care of your safety and the safety of others.
0–2 years of experience in a regulated industry (e.g., animal health, pharmaceutical) is preferred.
Experience working with information management systems or databases is highly advantageous.
Fluent in English, with good written and oral communication skills.
Strong organisational and information management skills with a methodical approach to work and an aptitude for systems and data.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong duty of care for accuracy.
High proficiency with a variety of software programs (Google, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to analyse problems, anticipate, plan, and communicate effectively.
A drive for results and the ability to work with increasing independence on assigned responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to learn, develop, and foster cross-functional teamwork.
