Warwick Senior High School (SHS) is a modern and progressive secondary school located in the northern suburbs of Perth. Ideally situated, it is a school with a strong tradition of academic excellence together with a caring and supportive environment where students are given every opportunity to be successful in their chosen pathways.
Students typically come from the local primary schools, as well as schools outside of boundary. Students are attracted to Warwick SHS because of the special academic, arts and sporting programs offered, particularly, the Academic Extension Program and the specialist Netball and Australian Rules Football programs. There is also a very strong STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) program which extends and challenges students in all of the above areas.

The Role
Warwick SHS is seeking a dedicated and innovative leader to join their Leadership Team in the newly established role of Program Coordinator – Inclusive Education.
The successful applicant should promote inclusive practice across Warwick SHS, helping to create an environment in which every student can reach their potential. A key component of the role is developing the processes and systems that enable staff to deliver exemplary support to students with disability and additional learning needs, and leading our team of education assistants in delivering these outcomes.
This is a strategic position. Using effective change strategies, the successful applicant should critically reflect on, review and refine school practices, working with the Executive team to strengthen pedagogy and student engagement. This role will lead the whole school literacy and numeracy strategy, ensuring a consistent, evidence-based approach across learning.
The role carries responsibility for SEN planning and documented plans across the school, including oversight of student case management, coordination of learning adjustments, and the maintenance of documentation and reporting standards. The successful applicant will ideally have clear experience with managing disability resourcing processes and ensuring school practices align with strategic priorities and NCCD compliance requirements.
Building capability is central to the position. In this role, the successful applicant should grow staff professional knowledge and facilitate collaborative partnerships with families, allied health professionals and external agencies so that students receive timely and effective support.
The role may include a teaching component, delivering literacy and numeracy intervention, life skills and other targeted intervention programs, helping students build the foundational skills they need to engage fully at school and beyond.
The successful applicant will ideally bring highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of assessment and data to inform practice, and the ability to build the collaborative relationships that sustain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
