Location: Melbourne, VIC – Projects across Greater Melbourne & Victoria Company: RubiksCraft Employment: Full-Time / Part-Time / Casual Salary: $35–45 per hour + Super, depending on experience Reports to: Site Manager / Construction DirectorAbout RubiksCraftRubiksCraft is an emerging modular building company specialising in innovative steel-framed modular homes across Victoria.We combine off-site manufacturing with efficient on-site installation to deliver high-quality homes with greater speed, consistency and flexibility.As our project pipeline continues to grow, we are looking for a practical and reliable Modular Home Installer & Maintenance Technician to join our construction team.About the RoleThis is a hands-on position focused on the installation, finishing, defect rectification and maintenance of our modular homes.You don’t need to be a qualified carpenter, but you do need to be confident with tools, good with your hands, and capable of solving practical construction problems.Typical work includes:Modular home installation and final fit-offCabinetry and joinery installation/adjustmentInstalling trims, skirting, handles, doors and hardwareDrilling, screwing, fixing and general assemblySilicone, caulking, sealing and finishing worksMinor wall, flooring, decking and external finishing repairsDoor, window and cabinet adjustmentsCompleting defects before handoverReturning to completed homes for minor warranty and maintenance worksAssisting the Site Manager with final inspections and defect listsKeeping worksites, tools and materials organised and tidyWho We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for an all-round practical person, rather than someone from one specific trade.Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:Carpentry · Cabinet Making · Shopfitting · Joinery · Handyman/Maintenance · Residential Construction · Modular InstallationTrade qualifications are preferred but not essential.More importantly, you should:Be confident using power and hand toolsHave strong attention to detail and finishing qualityBe able to work independently and complete a defect listHave practical problem-solving skillsBe reliable, organised and willing to learnTake pride in delivering clean, professional workmanshipHold a valid Australian driver's licenceBe comfortable travelling to different project sites across Melbourne and VictoriaWhy Join RubiksCraft?This isn't just a general handyman position.You'll gain hands-on experience across the complete modular construction process — from delivery and installation through to final completion and client handover.For the right person, there is genuine opportunity to develop into a:Senior Installer → Installation Supervisor → Site SupervisorIf you're practical, reliable, enjoy building things and like solving problems on site, we'd love to hear from you.RubiksCraft Innovative Spaces.
