About the role

Alan Mance Mitsubishi is seeking a Service Receptionist Automotive to join our team in Footscray, VIC 3011. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the smooth operation of our automotive service department. As Service Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, setting the tone for their experience with our business. This role is essential to our success, ensuring that every customer interaction is professional, efficient and welcoming.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers in a warm and professional manner upon arrival at the service department

• Answering and directing phone and email enquiries to appropriate staff members

• Scheduling service appointments and managing the appointment calendar

• Processing customer paperwork and documentation accurately and efficiently

• Explaining service options and quotations to customers in a clear and helpful manner

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area

• Managing customer follow-ups regarding their vehicles

• Providing information about vehicle maintenance and service options

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a reception or customer service role, preferably within an automotive environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using computer systems and office software applications

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment

• Professional telephone etiquette and ability to handle enquiries courteously

• Knowledge of automotive terminology and service processes is highly desirable

• A positive, friendly demeanour and team-oriented approach

• Reliability and punctuality

• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
