The company offers a practical, hands-on work environment with opportunities to develop technical skills in caravan servicing and repairs.Role Description This is a on-site role based at Port Lincoln Caravan Centre in Port Lincoln, SA. The Caravan Service Technician is responsible for performing routine servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on caravans, including braking systems, suspensions, electrical systems, plumbing, and towing equipment. Daily tasks include diagnosing faults, completing scheduled maintenance, fitting and repairing accessories, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to quality standards. The role involves communicating with customers about required work, providing clear explanations of findings, and completing accurate service documentation. The technician is also expected to maintain a clean and organised workshop, follow all safety procedures, and collaborate with the broader team to meet service deadlines.QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude with experience in servicing, diagnostics, and repair work on caravans, trailers, or similar vehicles.Practical skills in basic auto-electrical work, plumbing for caravans, and fitting accessories (e.g., awnings, towing equipment, and internal fixtures).Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to complete accurate repairs.Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality workmanship.Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical issues in clear, simple terms.Capacity to work safely in a workshop environment, including manual handling, use of power tools, and adherence to WHS requirements.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to manage workloads and meet service timelines.Relevant trade qualification or experience in automotive, mechanical, or caravan servicing is highly regarded.Current driver’s licence; towing experience or familiarity with caravan setup and safety is an advantage.
