Administration Officer

You’ll play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our patient services and front-of-house administration, working closely with patients, families and our clinical teams.

Patient & Customer Service:

• Provide a professional, compassionate and customer-focused service to patients, carers, clinicians and visitors.
• Explain financial consent requirements to patients in a clear and empathetic manner.
• Respond to patient and stakeholder enquiries promptly and accurately, ensuring issues are managed through to resolution.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support an exceptional patient experience.

• Coordinate administrative processes in accordance with organisational requirements.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring a high level of attention to detail and data integrity.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes.
• Identify, investigate and resolve administrative issues using sound judgement and logical problem-solving skills.
• Contribute to the review and improvement of administrative processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Teamwork & Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively as a positive and supportive team member while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement and patient-centred care.
• Share knowledge, support colleagues and actively participate in team meetings and organisational initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Exceptional customer service, communication skills and empathy when dealing with patients 
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
• The ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow tasks through to completion.
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong logical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Experience communicating sensitive or complex information, including financial consent and billing processes, in a clear and professional manner.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and patient management systems 
• Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment
