Casual Parks and Gardens (Busselton and Dunsborough)

• $47.86 per hour inclusive of 24% casual loading

About the role:

Are you someone who loves the great outdoors, takes pride in a job well done, and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty to make our city shine? If so, we want YOU on our Parks and Gardens team!

Reporting to the Parks and Streetscapes Supervisor, you will be required to work between the hours of 6:00am till 3:00pm. You will also be required to work in both Busselton and Dunsborough, depending on the works required that day.

What you’ll be doing:

Your days will be active, varied, and full of fresh air. You’ll be:

• Helping maintain and beautify gardens, lawns, and public spaces
• Sweeping, pressure cleaning, graffiti removing & beach tidying
• Assisting with small construction projects and minor repairs
• Doing the odd paint touch-up and sprucing up of facilities
• Supporting event setups across our stunning foreshore areas
• Keeping our parks, BBQs, playgrounds and street furniture safe and inviting

As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Love working outdoors and ready to get stuck into work
• Have experience in horticulture, landscaping or maintenance work
• A team player with great communication skills
• Can safely operate small machinery and follow safety procedures
• Reliable, proactive, and have a strong eye for detail

Pre-employment requirements:

• Current MR Class Drivers Licence (MR licence preferred but not essential)
• National Police Clearance not more than six months old
• White Card
• Proof of right to work in Australia

Hours and conditions:

This role is casual and the working days and times will vary but may include early mornings and weekends.
