About the role
selectability is currently seeking an enthusiastic Youth Mentor to join our BikeShed Program—an initiative designed to empower at-risk youth. This is more than a mentoring role; it's a chance to make a lasting difference in young lives through guidance, support, and skill-building.
The Youth Mentor will support after-school activities like bike repair, group cycling, life skills workshops, and cultural connection sessions with First Nations Elders. Through mentoring and peer support, you’ll help young people overcome challenges, reduce challenging behaviours, and steer them toward long-term success.

This role works directly with young people and requires the employee to actively demonstrate child safe, trauma-informed and culturally safe practice through daily interactions, decision-making, supervision, and documentation.
The successful applicant must demonstrate a commitment to child safe values and immediately report any concerns regarding harm, unsafe practice, abuse, and neglect.
