About the role
Run the admin engine of a busy multi-trade construction business — from home
We're an established construction group delivering cladding, rendering and a range of related trade services across residential and commercial projects. We're around 15 people, we're growing, and we're hands-on.
We're looking for an experienced Office Manager / Construction Administrator to take ownership of the day-to-day administration and coordination that keeps our jobs moving.
This is a 100% work-from-home, full-time, permanent role. You'll manage your own day and work directly with the owners, our trades, clients, builders and suppliers.
We need someone who likes being across everything — who knows which jobs are coming up, what needs ordering, which client needs an update, and what happens next, without being reminded.
---
What you'll be responsible for
- Managing incoming calls, emails and customer enquiries
- Communicating with builders, clients, trades and suppliers
- Coordinating job schedules and keeping upcoming works organised
- Tracking projects from first enquiry through to completion
- Chasing outstanding information, paperwork and client requests
- Assisting with quotes, purchase orders and invoicing
- Ordering and coordinating materials with suppliers
- Keeping job management systems, spreadsheets and project records up to date
- General business administration — email, documents, filing, records
- Keeping the owners across anything that needs attention
- Spotting problems early and finding practical solutions
- Improving our admin systems and processes as we grow
Because the role is remote, communication and organisation matter more than anything. We need someone who works well independently and makes sure nothing slips through the cracks.
---
Who we're looking for
Ideally you've worked in administration, office management or project coordination in construction or the trades. Experience dealing with builders, subcontractors and suppliers will be highly regarded.
Just as important, you're:
- Extremely organised — multiple jobs, deadlines and conversations at once, without losing the detail
- Reliable — if you say it's handled, it's handled
- Proactive — you see what needs doing and get onto it
- Confident working independently — working from home suits you because you can run your own day
- A strong communicator — professional and friendly with clients, builders, suppliers and trades
- Detail focused — you catch missing information, wrong dates and loose ends before they become problems
- Comfortable with technology — confident with email, Word, Excel and cloud-based systems, and quick to learn new software
Nice to have (but not essential)
Experience with a CRM or job management system — Simpro, ServiceM8, Buildertrend, Tradify, AroFlo, Fergus, HubSpot or similar — would be ideal. If you haven't used ours before, that's fine. We'll train you, as long as you're confident picking up new systems.
Previous experience with a builder, cladding company, roofing company, plasterer or another trade-based business is a strong advantage. Understanding how construction jobs actually run — scheduling trades, ordering materials, dealing with builders, keeping projects moving — will set you up to succeed here.
---
What we offer
- $80,000 – $88,000 + 12% superannuation, depending on experience
- Home office setup allowance plus a monthly internet and phone contribution
- 100% work from home, permanent full-time
- A high level of trust and autonomy — no micromanagement
- Direct line to the business owners
- A genuine seat at the table in a growing business, not a task list
- Real scope to shape and own the administrative side of the business as we expand
