Hazardous Area Compliance Officer

Rotech Australia is a fast growing and dynamic engineering firm with service facilities in Wetherill Park and Unanderra. Rotech specialises in the repair of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment including motors, pumps, mining equipment and gearboxes with a broad clientele base. The business is also certified to overhaul explosion protected equipment as an ANZEx Recognised Service Facility and Licensed Workshop. We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Hazardous Area Compliance Officer to join our team based at Unanderra or Wetherill Park depending on your location.  The role will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee, manage and maintain certification as an ANZEx Recognised Service Facility and Licensed Workshop

• Preparation and compilation of plant Verification Dossiers to relevant / current Mining Standards

• Preparation of documents for the Overhaul and Pre Overhaul Audit of mining equipment to AS/NZS3800 and AS2290.1 respectively

• Preparation of technical responses pertaining to hazardous area equipment

• Assist in the preparation of quotations for the Mining department

• Liaise with Rotech Australia personnel at all sites as required

• Liaise with customers and suppliers as required

Opportunity for 4-day work week after probationary period

Experience with the maintenance or management of QWHSE business functions is preferred

Microsoft suite experience is required

Experience with Mango QHSE software is preferred

Experience in an industrial/construction workshop is desirable
