About the team

Toyota Finance Australia has a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Practice Manager to join the team.

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Practice Manager to lead and evolve our enterprise-wide Business Intelligence capability within our Data Office.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for establishing the vision, standards, governance, and operating framework that enables trusted, consistent, and actionable insights across the organisation. You'll play a key role in shaping how data is used to drive decision-making, while fostering a strong community of practice and empowering teams across the business to deliver reporting and analytics solutions within a governed framework

Reporting to the Head of Data Assets & Services, you will lead a team of four and work closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions

Your usual day in the office will include:

• Define and drive the enterprise Business Intelligence strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Establish BI standards, governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
• Lead the development and maturity of the Business Intelligence Practice, including the appropriate use of AI.
• Champion reporting quality, consistency, self-service analytics, and reporting lifecycle management.
• Build and nurture a community of practice through coaching, mentoring, and capability uplift initiatives.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify reporting priorities and strategic information needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor on reporting governance, analytics capability, and data-driven decision making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI team while supporting broader organisational capability growth

Your attributes

• 10+ years' experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data & Analytics
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI and Databricks (or similar technologies).
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimisation, stored procedures, functions, and database development.
• Demonstrated success building enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, standards, and operating models.
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and driving capability uplift.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
