About the role
Are you passionate about leading a team to provide school aged children with engaging and fulfilling activities. In this role you will bring your knowledge of NQF and commitment to developing and implementing leisure-based experiences for school age children, ensuring their safety and well-being are paramount at all times.
Role:
Lead a team of educators in a service licensed for 126 students
Collaborate with the Educational Leader to deliver a quality program that meets the interests of children based on My Time Our Place V2.0 framework
Build relationships with families and the school community
Maintain compliance and safety
Document critical reflection and the Quality Improvement Plans
Full time:
The role is permanent and full time (38 hours per week) with some flexibility to work from home outside service hours.
Service hours - Monday to Friday including vacation care (6:30am - 8:30am) and (2:00pm – 6:00pm). The service closes for 4 weeks annual leave at Christmas.
The staff receive above above award rates which includes the Workers Retention Grant.
To be considered for this role applicants must have:
A childcare-related Certificate IV or Diploma in School Age Education and Care.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience working in a child related field, preferably OOSH.
Understanding of the National Quality Framework - My Time, Our Place; National Law and Regulations; and National Quality Standards.
Demonstrate a commitment to Child Safety reforms with evidence of a Child Protection Qualification CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk; and National Child Safety Training.
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training.
NSW Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
Not be subject to a suspension or prohibition notice or otherwise restricted from working with children in a childcare setting.
Understanding of the MTOP planning cycle and experience in implementing it.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to think creatively and design engaging activities.
Patience, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Immediate commencement.
Key Responsibilities include:
Developing relationships with families.
Interacting with children through games, activities & meaningful conversations.
Engaging in active supervision ensuring children are kept safe.
Working alongside the Educational Leader and Educators to create a welcoming and nurturing environment that supports the service philosophy.
Maintaining service records in accordance with the National Law and Regulations
