About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Trade Retail Assistant with experience in tools to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, reporting to the Store Manager.Skills and Experience Required Previous retail sales experience is essential , ideally in a hardware or tool shop environment . Strong knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in construction, woodworking, automotive, or DIY projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Basic math skills and proficiency in using a POS system. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding the tools and equipment they need. Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their project requirements. Utilize sales techniques to promote add-on items and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system. Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels on the sales floor by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
