Registered or Enrolled Nurse – Townsville

Townsville GP Superclinic is looking for an additional casual nurse to join our friendly team and work collaboratively with the GPs, allied health professionals, and support staff to provide high-quality, integrated care for our patients.

Position Type: Casual or Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week)

We have flexible opportunities available for this position, which can be offered on either a casual or permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week). For those seeking casual flexibility with high-volume hours, we frequently have 3 to 4 shifts per week available (ranging from 22.5 to 37.5 hours).

We are looking for nurses who can work adaptively across our operating hours:

• Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Sat & Sun: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Triage, emergency response, immunisations, ECGs, spirometry, and audiograms
• Assisting GPs with surgical procedures, excisions, and wound management
• Infection control, sterilisation, immunisations, and vaccinations
• Health assessments, chronic disease care plans, and health coaching
• Managing eHealth, patient reminders, and treatment room coordination
• Supporting Enrolled Nurses (applicable for Registered Nurse position)

The successful applicant must have:

• Current AHPRA General Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Full Australian working rights
• Some nursing experience
• Great time management and multi-tasking ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A solution-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• Excellent computer skills

Desirable:

• Previous nursing experience in an Australian primary healthcare setting
• Proficiency in Best Practice or similar Medicare clinical software
• Experience or qualifications in immunisations, care plans, and health assessments
